It's my duty to protect my flock. I pack every sunday, and my congregation knows it and loves it.
I’m a 60yo married southern woman who raised 3 kids & has 7 grandkids. Not 1 adult in my family goes anywhere without a gun & extra magazines of ammo. I carry a 9mm on my hip and a 2nd magazine in my bag. My husband was in LE for over 45yrs, our sons & son in law all served in the military. We sadly lost our oldest son, our youngest & son in law were both wounded, our son twice 1st IED & 2nd by homicide bomber. The world has gone crazy and I don’t plan on getting caught unable to defend myself or my family. It would be great not to have to think about this stuff but when questioned about carrying I always remind people of the shooting at that theater. If only 1-2 people didn’t do as the sign said and kept their guns maybe they could’ve stopped that shooting sooner. Don’t get me wrong, I hope and pray I never find myself needing to use my weapon but if I do…I’ll have it & I know how to use it.
Our church has security of which all carry. Most are Marines who served 20 or more years. They know how to use their weapons.
