I’m a resident of San Diego. I’m SO SICK of people saying we voted for people like this. I remember the “attempt” to recall Newsom. There was “recall newsom” boards and posters EVERYWHERE with support for elder. Everybody hates the guy and he won the election? We voted for Newsom the same way America voted for Biden. We didn’t.
I was born and raised in California, and I can confirm it gets worse every year. Homelessness sky high, drug dealers getting richer and more powerful, mental health getting worse all over the state, drug addicts, ridiculous crime rates with no capture or prosecution, highest taxes, highest gas prices, highest cost of living, and still growing in illegal immigration as well as gentrification. Only very few people are actually benefiting from other people losing in this system. A lot of have nots and little haves in California are usually privileged to begin with.
