The problem is these silly indoctrinated children think they have learned something that others have not already talked about to 90 years. they think they are righting a hidden wrong and we need to be enlightened by them.
These stupid low IQ children do not understand that they are part of an indoctrinated group of children who woudl not have been admitted to college 40 years ago because they are just not that bright.
the result is they speak up with arrogance and force only to walk away looking stupid .

What’s perceived as “low IQ may actually be nervousness. The young man was a social liberal in a crowd of conservatives, putting forth a liberal idea to challenge someone known for demolishing these liberal ideas. So we should be able to agree that he was probably nervous, and that’s a reasonable explanation for the halting speech and other signs you attributed to his IQ.
We make a mistake by dismissing these colleague students as low IQ. They have heard this propaganda about non-binary. Individuals most of their lives. If.you or I had heard the same since childhood from every teacher and our parents, we’d likely believe it too.
When we write them off as low IQ, it enables us to dismiss them as insignificant. But there are millions who believe as this young man does, and they’ll soon be running our companies, media, academia, etc. Better to confront the propaganda rather than merely dismissing those who believe in.
Jack, I think you may be a bit over-generous. I speak as someone who grew up with a sister who was just plain born with the hate. As soon as anyone would tell her hate is not ok, she would run to Mom screaming THEY ARE NOT ACCEPTING OF ME!!! It’s very distressing to see this childishness pervade society. Perhaps worse than childishness, it’s a disease. That hateful sister of mine now teaches children. This is what kids like this are indoctrinated in.
These kids are taught from an early age that only the talking points, no matter how unreasonable, are what matters. Many kids are capable of refusing to believe in this stupidity. They know instinctively that you can’t change your rules depending on if you like that issue or not. If an ideology does not work for everyone, it doesn’t work. That means it must be wrong. How many times growing up did you have a crazy teacher who didn’t make sense, but you learned to spit back whatever they said until the test was over, then told everyone you knew not to take that nutter?
Young kids are especially good at this, but also know who has the immediate power over their lives, and will play to whatever that power is. This kid did that often enough that he now believes what those in control of his education told him. If not low IQ, it speaks of a lack of personal judgement on his part. Very sad.
Once upon a time the ones who did try and insist on the hate were smacked upside the head and told to grow up. Charlie did the verbal version of this in a very tactful manner in my opinion. He acknowledged that the kid had courage and asked for applause for him. Hopefully the kid went home and thought about what was said.
What works in classrooms now does not work in society and eventually these spoiled haters will have to grow up. It’s up to those of us in society to do the re-education of them though. You can’t rely on just removing propaganda to do the trick, they need to know what makes it propaganda and why it doesn’t work in reality.
