This is A) horrible because it preys on lonely people (mostly men) who will not suddenly become more “successful” on the app because they can message anyone, thereby worsening the feeling of rejection because it now has a personal component to it and B) horrible because taking away the act of matching as a prerequisite for messages means that people (mostly women) will get their choice taken away and can now be contacted without consent. It’s just a dumpster fire all around
