When you listen to some of the content of rap music, it vulgar and disgusting and often suggesting violence. It’s not performed by just black “musicians”. There are a few white rappers. For the most, it is not appropriate content for children. Considering many cruises are family-oriented, they have to consider the audience. Maybe the rap crowds and performers should consider chartering ships to cater to their crowds’ genre likes. My son is a Gen X and rap “music” was just starting out when he was a teenager. We would not let him listen to rap because of the content – MF every other word and cop-killing themed, e.g. Ice T.
