That is all the Governor of New York and the city mayor’s fault for turning a blind eye to crime. They prosecute people for defending themselves, and let the criminals go Scott free! New Yorkers need to demand their resignations immediately! If they refuse, remove them by force! New Yorkers need to fight back, with extreme force if necessary. Pepper spray, police batons, what ever would take them out, knock them off the scooters, and make them wish they had made a different decision. Scooters, mopeds, any small motorized bike should be banned, ban sales of them, ban them from bieng brought into the city. That would stop this crap. And burn the confiscated ones so they can’t get back out on the streets.
