I was 21, she was 18. I am 70, she is 67. 8 more months will be 50 years together married. 4 sons, 13 grandkids, 3 great grandkids. We married BEFORE there was any excess baggage. Still in love, still holding hands, still not letting the sun go down on anger. It ain’t rocket science but it IS hard work. What does commitment mean to people today? A self indulgent society has deep roots and boys are not taught to be men. Girls are not taught to be women. Roles are stripped away, and evil has pervaded society.
