Ex airline tech here. They are Phillips Head aeronautical square slot screws. Control surfaces are rarely riveted as they need removing for service of the various hydraulic pumps and lines underneath. On that particular control surface which looks like a ‘ground spolier’ , you can have several missing before it’s considered a no-fly safety issue… However you should not have a muppet flapping around on the wing pissing around with it pre take off…
I’ve flown when I was younger and my wife only flew one time. My son spent 7 years in the Air Force and he flew quite a bit. Now, NONE of us will ever fly again. We’ll drive or take a train. I know accidents happen with those modes of transportation, but at least there won’t be a drop of several thousand feet before you hit the ground. Why isn’t any of these problems happening to Air Force 1? No one would miss the worthless bag of shit that flies on that plane.
