I volunteered and served in the Army over 40 years ago, and I’ll never regret it. Today, however, as a white male, i wouldn’t. I would feel neither welcomed, nor wanted.
I recently retired from the U.S. Army after 27 years of service, not only because my mind and body told me it was time to hang it up, but because I no longer recognized the Army. There is a complete lack of discipline, zero accountability, incompetent and unqualified “leaders”, and a toxic environment that completely neglects the training needed to fight and win wars. Instead of training for combat, our Soldiers are now force fed a diet of woke talking points by criminally overpaid civilian equity, diversity, and inclusion instructors.
