The continued false hope and disappointment in the Middle East reminds me of the old parable of the frog and the scorpion. The scorpion asks the frog to carry him across a river, promising not to sting the frog……after all, they both would die. Midway across, the scorpion stings the frog and as they are both sinking beneath the water the frog asks, “Why?”. It’s just my nature says the scorpion.
Maybe we shouldn’t have bombed Iran. Now we have a cease fire and both parties are pointing the finger of blame at each other for violating it.
